The Centro Canalejas has become a new landmark in the revitalised heart of Madrid. The unique project involves the full renovation of seven historical buildings over an area of 50,000 square feet and is transforming these into a luxury apartment complex, an exclusive shopping mall and a Four Seasons Hotel. The building complex, built according to plans drawn up by José Grases Riera, was constructed in 1887; the buildings were officially opened in 1891. Today, they can be considered historical monuments that are particularly worthy of protection. The focus of the renovation was therefore on protecting and maintaining this example of historical and cultural heritage, especially the façades and the main gallery of two buildings. Forty-four doors and 137 windows from Janisol Arte 2.0 and multiple Janisol applications were used in the project.
