Fire-proofing the past

In the course of a general renovation with partial new construction, the "Haus der Wirtschaft" (House of Business) has been created on Nuremberg's main market square. A large-format mosaic made of mouth-blown real antique glass is the eye-catcher in the new atrium. The mosaic was laminated onto fire-resistant glazing and the ready-to-install panes were mounted in a mullion and transom facade made of the VISS Fire steel profile system. On the ground floor, a double-leaf revolving door made of the Jansiol 2 steel profile system and integrated into the glass mosaic connects the historic hall building with the new atrium.
