Lady Gaga's boots, Elvis' loafers or Elton John's platform shoes with glitter soles: The former city hall of Waalwijk in the Netherlands now houses some of the greatest treasures in shoe history. Extensive remodelling work has transformed the original building complex into a modern museum. The new entrance area is entered through an arched pivot door made of Janisol. The new, glazed facade of the atrium is designed as a VISS facade-type mullion-transom solution.
