Steel is neither flammable nor does it lose any significant inherent stability in the event of a fire. It is therefore predestined for use as a material for the manufacture of fire-resistant doors and glazing.
With the EI90 classification, Jansen is expanding the VISS Fire system family with a solution for projects with the highest requirements in terms of structural fire protection. The tested facade offers 30, 60 or 90 minutes of fire resistance and therefore ensures maximum safety for every fire protection requirement and for demanding use concepts. With glass sizes of over 4.3 metres high (EI30) and glass widths of more than 3 metres without additional structural measures, the VISS Fire Facade offers new design possibilities.
For architectural firms, this means: Freedom of design at the highest level. Large-format glazing and compatibility with various glass manufacturers open new possibilities in facade design, including for entrance areas and partition walls.
