Kalyon Karapınar SPP

The Kalyon Karapınar SPP in Turkey is the largest solar energy plant in Europe and one of the largest worldwide. Caner Bilgin from Bilgin Architects in İstanbul designed a futuristic control center for the rough desert landscape. A large inner courtyard, which is accessible to employees and visitors through huge motorised Jansen VISS pivot doors, contributes to the surprisingly inviting atmosphere of the building.
