Universal multilayer pipes

As installation requirements become more varied and complex, there are increasing demands for pipes that guarantee safety, a long service life, and cost-efficient processing. Decades of experience, know-how and state-of-the-art machinery enable us to manufacture just such high quality products. The Jansen multilayer pipe consists of a plastic basic pipe with a straight-seam butt-welded aluminium jacket. The uniform pipe structure thus achieved is utterly convincing. The composite material combines the excellent properties of plastics with the advantages of aluminium.

Versatility
To keep up with the constantly increasing demands of building engineering applications, Jansen multilayer pipes are manufactured with different inner pipes.

Raised temperature resistant polyethylene with aluminium layer

On the five-layer multilayer pipe for heating and sanitary applications, the basic pipe is first extruded in temperature-stable polyethylene. Using the coextrusion process, this is coated with a thin adhesive layer. Aluminium foil, its thickness depending on the pipe dimension, is then wrapped around the pipe, straight butt-welded, and calibrated to the inner pipe. Then another adhesive coat is applied in the coating procedure and the outer top layer made of polyethylene is extruded onto it.

Cross-linked polyethylene with aluminium layer

The JANOlen PE-X multilayer pipe for heating and sanitary applications has the same five-layer structure as the PE-RT multilayer pipe. The polyethylene base pipe is subjected to intermolecular cross-linkage in a second work process, to increase the strength of this material.
As an alternative version we also offer a PE-X solid wall inner pipe clad in an aluminium jacket of uniform thickness throughout, forming a diffusion barrier and dilation inhibitor.
